One of the good things about working out in Warrior is that it has several sessions a day catering to everyone’s schedule. Whether it is in the morning 5:30am and 8:30 am, in the evening 6:30pm or weekend classes, there is a group of enthusiastic people exercising at a designated location. Cheering on each other and pushing each other to the finish line.

Group exercise is a great way to enjoy staying physically active with friends or like-minded people and feel young again. Both solo and group exericises offer a variety of benefits and it is very much up to indivual preference. However, let’s take a look at the benefits of group exercise:

Variety: Group exercise offers a variety of class formats that will keep you motivated and motivated and interested because of new exercise, different instructor styldes and interaction with other participants. There will always be something new and exciting to expect from each session.

Camaraderie: We stay interested because of the social atmosphere provided by group exercises. This offers a support and a sense of camaraderie among participants, as well as between participants and instructor. We’re all in this together!

Guidance: Most of us know exercise is good for us. However, taking that first step can be difficult if there is very information to guide us. We might also get caught up in our busy lives that we put exercise off indefinitely. However, group exercise offers a workout for all levels: beginner, intermediate or advance. You don’t need to know how to develop a safe and effective work. You simply need to show up with a positive attitude, participate and of course, have fun!

Safety and effectiveness: A structured class with a purpose is beneficial for people with limited knowledge about safety and effective exercise program. A well-designed class consists of warm-up, cool-down and some flexibility and strecthing section. If we exercise on our own, it is very likely we will skip some portions of the workout that isn’t our favourite or we know less about. In addition, instructors also design the class base on intensity which can appropriately improve cardiorespiratory and muscular fitness. They also serve as a resource for class participants and encourage them to engage in other healthy behaviours outside of class.

Consistency: All of us are busy and we tend skip or quit exercise due to time constraints. Group exercise may overcome this obstacle. A well-designed class is planned for 45-60 minutes. The consistency in scheduling offered by group exercise programs allow us to choose a time that suits our needs.

Regardless of your goals, whether it is to meet new people and try something new, improve your fitness level or complete races, most importantly is to get moving and have lots of fun!
