HomeWarriors Give Back

“Never leave anyone behind!”

This Warrior ethos is not just about refusing to abandon your mates in any circumstances but rather to bring opportunities to those who lack access to things we sometimes take for granted. With this in mind, WARRIORS GIVE BACK is formed by members of Warrior Fitness & Adventure, as its commitment to social responsibility to promote altruistic activities to make Penang and the world a better place. Activities would include the promotion of a healthier lifestyle through fitness, wellness and healthy eating to those without the opportunity to join our Warrior fitness sessions and other programs to raise awareness of certain social issues.

RU YI HOME, MOUNT ERSKINE, PENANG 27/4/2014

For one hour, shrieks of delight pierced the calm verdant surroundings of the BHS Welfare Village when 15 young children were given a Junior Bootcamp session by members of Warrior Bootcamp (WBC) Penang. While the kids appeared to have had a good time, it was not all fun and games as they were also made to do some fitness exercises adopted by this leading provider of outdoor fitness training and team-building programs in Penang.

The children were later treated to a healthy vegetarian dinner and frozen treats made from fresh fruits. Stationery was also distributed to the children and to the Home. Members of WBC also brought contributions of food items like rice, milk and a popular chocolate and malt beverage.

Of age six to twelve, these kids are residents of Ru Yi Home, a children’s shelter located within the grounds of the Bodhi Heart Sanctuary on Jalan Mount Erskine, Tanjung Tokong. Through a series of unfortunate events like having lost a parent, possible abuse, abandonment and poverty, these children come to this shelter with a hope of growing up with a positive attitude and value towards life.

Ru Yi Home depends on donations from the public and its plan for the near future includes moving to a larger house with a garden to allow the children bigger and better living spaces. This also gives potential for accepting more children into the home; young kids who may otherwise lack similar opportunities.
