Staying On Track
You may have good intentions of sticking to the Warrior training plan but obstacles will come up that may detour you, excuses only get in the way if you allow them to.
“Not enough time” is the most often used excuse. Assess your time now so that you can always fit in your weekly personal coaching sessions.
Consider these sessions as appointments with yourself. Give yourself the same respect you give others in keeping appointments. Your only reason for not exercising should be if you’re sick or injured. Remember — no excuses!
- Get support from friends, family and colleagues. Support is one of the most important factors in exercise adherence.
- It can take up to 8 weeks to see some of the benefits you desire from your program. In the meantime, focus on short-term goals, like attending your weekly workouts as planned. You will gain confidence from this.
- Consistency is the key. This is the most important tip to remember. You must align your fitness and eating behavior to your goals, otherwise you will not succeed. If you fall off the wagon pick yourself back up and start from where you fell off.
You are responsible for your own life and how you lead it. There is a gap between the perceived obstacle and your reaction (to exercise and eat healthy or not to). Within that gap is your power to choose. When you choose not to you are giving power to your excuse. Do or do not — it’s your choice. However, it will ultimately determine success or failure.
